There were approximately 130 people at the banquet and the event was kicked off with a one hour Cocktail reception which was held in the Lobby area of the 6th floor followed by dinner.

One of the highlights of the even was the gift give away which we felt was uniquely different to other events. The MC announced the names of each employee where they had to come up and have a 'Baileys Shooter' which was drawn from a bowl. Once the employee had the shot they could reveal the gift details that were pasted on the bottle. Everyone was excited to come up and receive the gift and our Toronto DJ's supplemented the activity by playing loops of hip-hop (mainly Intro of Thrift Shop by Macklemore and Inner Ninja by classified) & some top 40 tracks. Several employees came to our booth after receiving the gift and gave are Disc Jockeys a 'High Five' and said our music selection was excellent.

After dinner the dancing session was kicked off with a Flash Mob by the managers who pulled in the guests to the dance floor. This was an idea suggested by our DJ's during the pre-event meeting with the organizers and we were glad so see it worked in getting everyone to the dance floor. Our Toronto DJ's played top 40, Hip-Hop, Classic Rock and some country tracks during the event. There was a lot of requests for LMFAO which we gladly played as well.

We had four 1000 watt speakers for this event and was not allowed use any sub-woofers by the venue as it would disturb the residents of the hotel. This is one of the few events our Toronto DJs have played without sub woofers and even though it was sufficient to keep every one happy, we should admit the sound could have been much better if we did. Before the event our client also tried many times to convince the venue management to allow us but they declined. So if you are considering this venue for your event, we would highly recommend you to negotiate using sub-woofers when you sign up with the hotel..that would definitely make a 'Huge Difference"
